Thomas Adewumi International College (TAIC) is a privately owned, non-profit making school in Kwara State mid-way between Lagos and Abuja. It was founded in 1997 with 16 pupils as a co-educational boarding school. Today it boasts a total student body of 450, over 98% of whom progress to a course of higher education either at home or overseas. The wide range of degree courses followed by the students reflects the broad education opportunities offered by the college.

The College is well equipped and is constantly up-dating its resources. They include well equipped laboratories for biology, chemistry and physics, computers with internet and email facilities. TAIC places a high degree of value upon the range of extra-curricular activities that run throughout the academic year. TAIC students are also encouraged to take part in community service projects in the area.

Zamani College is a private institution which opened in 1986, initially as a tutorial school offering preparatory courses. In 1991, the college expanded into the secondary school sector and since its first set of school leavers graduated in 1996, it has maintained a reputation as one of the top secondary schools in the country.
