Entry to Law, Medicine and Architecture

The NCUK IFY is recognised as a pathway for these areas, but because of the elite nature of these UG Degrees, the requirements are exceptionally high and NCUK cannot give its usual guarantee. For Medicine, students usually need a conditional offer from a university before the start the programme. For Architecture, students will need to submit a high-quality portfolio of work as well as achieve very good IFY grades. If the portfolio is not of a high enough standard, it will be very difficult to place a student onto such a programme.

Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma

Partner Universities that accept students with a diploma may require these students to register initially for a postgraduate certificate and postgraduate diploma before progressing to “Masters”. However, this does not increase the workload of these students, but defines the stages of the postgraduate degree more clearly. This must be explained clearly to this category of students.
