Advice for international students

To be able to enter your study destination, you must have a student visa. Have a look below at the information that we have gathered for you where you will find the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions and where you will be able to access links to important information provided by official government sources.

Travelling to the UK

From 11th February 2022, all under-18s coming to England, will be treated as fully vaccinated at the border, regardless of their individual vaccination status and will need to follow guidance for fully vaccinated people.

Travelling to Canada

To be able to enter Canada as a student you must have a valid study permit or a letter of introduction that shows you were approved for a study permit and you must be attending a designated learning institution (DLI) with a COVID-19 readiness plan approved by its province or territory

Travelling to Australia

From 21st February, all fully vaccinated eligible visa holders can travel to Australia without needing to apply for a travel exemption. Unvaccinated visa holders will still need a valid travel exemption to enter Australia.

Travelling to New Zealand

New Zealand’s government has announced that the borders will be reopening from July 2022. This has been brought forward from October and it’s great news for students interested in studying in New Zealand. You must be vaccinated to enter New Zealand, and have evidence of a negative COVID-19 test before your first international flight.

Travelling to the USA

If you are applying to a university in the USA, you must be fully vaccinated with the primary series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine and you are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before you travel to the United States by air.
