Accreditation & Fees

Accreditation is a formal evaluation and quality assurance procedure that institutions are required to complete in order to deliver NCUK Pathway Programmes.

What is Accreditation?

NCUK accreditation signals an institution’s commitment to providing high-quality education that meets NCUK’s rigorous entry requirements, academic frameworks, and syllabuses. This accreditation process ensures that successful institutions can deliver NCUK Pathway Programmes, providing students with globally recognised qualifications and seamless progression to leading universities worldwide.

Accreditation Process

NCUK’s accreditation process involves the following FOUR key activities:

  1. Approval of an Academic Manager: An Academic Manager needs to be appointed or approved by NCUK. They will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of NCUK programmes and ensuring the quality of programme delivery.
  2. Inspection of facilities and resources: NCUK representatives will inspect an institution’s facilities and resources, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, IT infrastructure, student support facilities, and other learning resources, to ensure they are adequate for the delivery of NCUK programmes.
  3. Evaluation of policies and processes relating to management and programme delivery: NCUK representatives will evaluate an institution’s policies and processes relating to management and programme delivery, including course administration, quality assurance and enhancement, academic and student support, assessment, and the management of information.
  4. Approval of academic teaching staff: The academic staff responsible for delivering NCUK programmes must be approved by NCUK. Staff members must meet NCUK’s standards for qualifications, experience, and competence in their respective subject areas.

Your dedicated NCUK Academic Services Manager will work with your institution to understand your delivery plans and guide you through the accreditation process, ensuring that your institution is fully prepared to deliver NCUK Pathway Programmes.

Fees for Becoming an NCUK Study Centre

It is important you have a clear understanding of our fee structure before you apply to become an NCUK Study Centre.

  1. Accreditation Fee (one-time): The accreditation fee is a one-time fee paid by institutions seeking accreditation to deliver NCUK Pathway Programmes. This fee covers the cost of NCUK’s accreditation process, which includes assessing the suitability of the institution to become a Study Centre and inspecting facilities, staff, and resources.
  2. Operating Fee (annual): Once accredited, institutions must pay an annual operating fee to continue their partnership with NCUK. This fee covers the cost of licensing NCUK’s intellectual property, access to NCUK’s systems, regular quality assurance checks, and a wide range of supporting resources and training for teaching, university applications, and marketing.
  3. Student Registration Fee (per student): Institutions are charged a per-student registration fee for each student enrolled onto NCUK Pathway Programmes. This fee covers the cost of registration, assessment, marking, moderation, student support, access to online resources, and certification.

Overall, these fees support the continuation of NCUK’s Global Network of Study Centres which provides institutions with access to NCUK’s academic syllabuses, expert support, and high-quality programmes. The fees also help NCUK maintain its high standards and provide students with a globally recognised qualification that can open doors to leading universities worldwide.
