Introducing Myanmar to NCUK International Year One with Crown Education
Crown Education and the Royal Academic Institute bring NCUK to Yangon
NCUK are proud to be partnering with Crown Education to deliver the International Year One qualification to students within their Royal Academic Institute training centre. The partnership was introduced at an event attended by 60 selected students and parents on Saturday 17th June 2017 at the Yangon Novotel Max.
An information seminar was delivered to the assembled audience to help them gain an understanding of the unique features and benefits of studying the NCUK International Year One (IYOne) qualification in their home country. Amy-Rose Cauley from NCUK gave an interactive presentation to inform those in attendance what they could gain from completing the International Year One. James U Aung Kyaw San, Managing Director for Crown Education, talked enthusiastically about the opportunities and how pleased his team were to be the first NCUK study centre in Myanmar.
‘Working with NCUK means we can deliver credible qualifications developed directly by universities for international students. NCUK provide an integrated placement service which provides ease of admission and the benefit of a guaranteed place. We have worked with many of the NCUK network of universities on a one-to-one basis and we’re very happy to be able to support our students and offer them more options.

Crown Education have been consulting on international student education for 11 years and they are proud to have all the necessary licences for both consulting and teaching. Education in Myanmar is developing fast and there are many private companies who are new to market in the country focusing on quantity over quality. Crown Education are proud of their reputation and as such have acquired high standards and can choose to select from the many students who apply to study with them.
The visit was followed on Tuesday 20th June by University of Huddersfield’s Andrew Ludley, International Officer, and Dr Julie Davies, Senior Academic, from the University of Huddersfield’s Business School. Crown foundation students were given a true taste of what being a student at Huddersfield is like with an interactive workshop by Dr Julie Davies.

Crown Education and Royal Academic Institute will host a further further studies session on 24th June to talk to those high school students who will have, by then, received their national exam results.
NCUK are excited to be in Myanmar and are looking forward to launch the study centre’s new location and impressive facilities in downtown Yangon later this year.
