The University of Auckland International Study Centre Officially Launches in Beijing
In March 2021, The University of Auckland International Study Centre officially launched its new centre in Beijing! This centre, a collaboration between NCUK, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and The University of Auckland, allows students to study the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) in Beijing before continuing their study abroad journey at The University of Auckland in February 2022.

The launch event itself consisted of staff from NCUK, The University of Auckland and Beijing Foreign Studies University coming together with students to celebrate this exciting new venture. NCUK Chief Executive Officer, Professor John Brewer and NCUK Market Development Director, Georgina Jones both shared their words of congratulations and encouragement via video messages.
All of us at NCUK are very excited about this partnership because for the first time it offers our NCUK students the chance to The University of Auckland and New Zealand. Our students will be gaining cultural skills, linguistic skills and developing academically in a way that I know will help them, and help to prepare them for university study. I’d like to pay particular tribute and thanks to Beijing Foreign Studies University for all of their hard work in helping make this collaboration and partnership possible.
Professor John Brewer, Chief Executive Officer, NCUK
Students attending this launch were able to find out about this partnership and how they can benefit by studying at The University of Auckland International Study Centre

Students have now started their studies and will be the first cohort of students in China to utilise this amazing opportunity presented to them including direct links with The University of Auckland which will help ensure a smooth transition from their NCUK International Foundation Year to their undergraduate degree. We would like to wish this first cohort of students the best of luck and congratulate all involved in the creation of this brilliant new partnership.
