Why did you choose to study with NCUK?
I chose to study with NCUK because it offered a bridging International Foundation Year that prepared me better for university. This qualification made my academic transition from high school to university a lot smoother. I had heard many positive things about NCUK having had a sister completing an NCUK qualification a few years earlier. This combination of factors led me to choose to enrol into the International Foundation Year and it is decision, I am happy to say, that worked out very well for me.
How has your NCUK experience helped you to get to where you are today?
This wonderful experience has prepared me academically for the major shift that takes place when a student joins university for the first time. I have learnt how to balance different aspects of my life apart from academics, such as extra-curricular activities and my social life. Additionally, NCUK have played a major role in helping me to choose my university through its informative website and through the personalised guidance that I received. Without NCUK I would not be where I am today, and I remain ever so grateful to them.
What are your goals for the future?
As a student who has completed the NCUK International Foundation Year qualification and is now pursuing aerospace engineering at the University of Bristol, my future goals are rooted in my passion for the aerospace industry and my drive to contribute meaningfully to the field. One of my immediate goals is to secure internships or placements at leading aerospace companies, which would allow me to apply what I’ve learnt in a real-world context. I also want to explore various specialisations within aerospace engineering and identify my specific areas of interest and expertise. This will guide my academic and career choices in the coming years
Do you have any advice for future NCUK students?

I would advise any future NCUK students to make use of NCUK’s resources, including their course finder, other research facilities and career services. These could be valuable assets for your academic and career development. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help of your struggling with coursework or adjusting to a new environment as NCUK offers support services for students. You could reach out to teachers at your study centre, and NCUK ambassadors will be happy to help with any query you may have!
