Telus World of Science is a broad-based science centre in Edmonton in which you can spend hours taking part in the many science experiments that the centre frequently runs or just by visiting the many exhibitions and amazing facilities available.

For animal lovers, just head to Elk Island National Park to see one of the biggest bison nature reserve where the most celebrated animal in North America has been saved from extinction. The Muttart Conservatory is a botanical garden located in the North Saskatchewan river valley which preserves more than 700 species of plants and three different pyramids designed to regulate arid, tropical and temperate climate. Things to do

There is no way that you will find yourself with nothing to do in Edmonton. For a fun day try The Edmonton Corn Maze, a giant maze cut into a field of corn approximately 15 acres. You will find it open from August to October and every year it is themed around a local event or attraction.

West Edmonton Mall is the largest shopping mall in North America and also the most visited one. If you are looking for a full day of nonstop shopping this is definitely where you want to head to. The centre has hundreds of shops for all tastes as well as cinemas, restaurants and even hotels! Have a wonder through the Europa Boulevard or Chinatown while you get the trendiest fashion and get some amazing food.

If you are looking for a more traditional shopping experience, everything you need is in Whyte Avenue. Here, you will be able to find independent retailers selling the best funky clothes, shoes and home décor. During the warmer months, grab a seat outside on one of the many cafés around the area and enjoy some cake while you take a break from your shopping.

Edmonton is also famous for its many Farmers’ Markets. There are so many around the city and all year round that you will discover something new every time. Transport

There are many ways of finding your way around Edmonton. You can easily travel by bus, bicycle or train. If you need to travel to or from Edmonton’s International Airport, just get on to a Skyshuttle service and get there with no trouble.

If you want to travel by bus or train within the city, you can get a day pass or pay per trip and get anywhere you need. Don’t forget that Edmonton has over 200 Km of bike and walking trails, so you might want to get yourself a second-hand bike and save money on your bus pass while you exercise!
