  • International Chemistry Scholarship
    • Requires A*AA (inc. Chemistry), and Birmingham to be the firm choice in UCAS. Worth £2,000 and renewable annually subject to attaining full credits and an overall Year Mark of 70% or higher. No application is required. Click here for more information.
  • Achievement Scholarship and Excellence Scholarship
    • Academic merit scholarships are available in a number of schools within the University of Birmingham, based on the following academic merits: “Achievement” worth £1,500, “Excellence” worth £1,500 (School of Engineering) or £3,000 (Chemical Engineering), First Class Scholarship worth £1,500/year for students attaining >70% at the end of each year for those studying Chemical Engineering.   • Global Scholar Award

  • Think Big Undergraduate Scholarships
    • Scholarship awards for undergraduate international students are valued at £6,500 and £13,000 per year and can only be used towards the cost of tuition fees. Applicants may also be eligible to receive a £3,000 living cost bursary during their first year of study. Find out more information here.
  • Global Economics Undergraduate Scholarship
    • 5 x £6,500 per year are available. These awards must be used towards the cost of tuition fees for a qualifying course in the School of Economics. Find out more information here.
  • School for Policy Studies International Undergraduate Scholarship
    • One scholarship of £6,500 per year is available. This award must be used towards the cost of tuition fees for a qualifying course in the School for Policy Studies. Find out more information here.
  • The Beacon Scholarship
    • Help for financially disadvantaged students from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, so that they can study at undergraduate level. This award covers two-thirds of the combined cost of tuition fees, living costs and one return economy airfare, and is jointly funded by the Beacon Equity Trust and the University of Bristol.   • NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Scholarships – Business School
    • The Business School has two scholarships available for NCUK students, although students cannot hold both scholarships simultaneously.
    • The Dean’s Business School International Excellence Scholarships. There are up to 50 scholarships available. A 50% reduction in tuition fees will be paid for three years of study. No application process is required – all candidates will be assessed via the information provided on UCAS. Terms and conditions apply.
    • NCUK Excellence Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded automatically – NCUK students will not have to apply for the scholarship. In order to qualify for the scholarship, NCUK applicants must meet or exceed the award conditions; those students who
      achieve A*AA or above on the NCUK International Foundation Year programme will be considered. The award is a £3,000 one-off fee waiver for the first year of the programme.   • NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Scholarships – Faculty of Biological Sciences
    • FBS is offering 10 x £10,000 International Excellence Scholarships that will be awarded to the highest achieving undergraduate applicants in year 1. To be eligible for this scholarship students must achieve one grade (or equivalent) above the published grade requirements or higher. Terms and conditions apply. Student application is required and students must have the University of Leeds as their firm choice.
  • NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Scholarships – School of Earth and Environment

    • The School of History offers the Katrina Honeyman scholarship. All international students who are offered a place (on our BA History or BA International History and Politics courses) will automatically be considered for the £2,000 scholarship (awarded in each year of study) which is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic performance.   • NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Scholarships – School of Law
    • International Undergraduate Scholarship – NCUK candidates are eligible for this. The entrance scholarship is awarded to any first-year international students who significantly exceed the entry requirements – for NCUK students this would be those with AAA or above (compared to the AAB offer requirements). The award is automatic and is £2,500 towards first-year tuition fees. Terms and conditions apply.
  • NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Scholarships – Psychology International Excellence Scholarship
    • An award of £10,000 tuition fee reduction is automatically awarded to high-achieving applicants who achieve AAA or above. Terms and conditions apply. Find out more here.
  • NCUK International Year One (IYOne) Scholarships Engineering
    • NCUK IYOne students may receive a scholarship of 10% of the full international tuition fee for each year of the programme (in the form of a partial fee waiver), subject to satisfactory progression. No separate application is required. Terms and conditions apply. NB: This award is NOT advertised on the Engineering website in full, it is referenced as a fee waiver.

  • University of Liverpool Undergraduate Global Advancement Scholarship
    • The Undergraduate Global Advancement Scholarship is specifically designed for high-achieving non-EU international students who will be commencing their undergraduate studies in September 2024, allowing students to earn up to £5,000 off their undergraduate tuition fees.   • Partner School Award
    • The University of Liverpool is delighted to offer students at selected NCUK Study Centres the opportunity to receive the Partner School Award. This award is a £2,000 scholarship offered to all students who register at the University of Liverpool on an undergraduate degree course (non-clinical) from the below NCUK Study Centres:

      • Tunisia

      The Partner School Award can also be combined with the Undergraduate Global Advancement Scholarship (listed above), where students are eligible (based on meeting the academic criteria). This could lead to a total scholarship value of £7,000 across their degree. The university’s Admissions team will create a code to be added to relevant applications to ensure that the Partner School Award is applied to eligible students. This scholarship is available for NCUK students who are applying to study at the University of Liverpool in 2024-25 academic year only.

Liverpool John Moores University

  • International Achievement Scholarship
    • £3,000 tuition fee discount towards each year of Undergraduate studies. In order to qualify students must:
      • Be a self-funded international student
      • Meet the conditions stated in your full-time, Undergraduate (UG) course offer letter
      • Not already benefit from an existing scholarship

The University of Manchester

  • Global Futures Scholarship
    • 7 x £5,000 merit-based scholarships to international students domiciled in the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Each award comprises £5,000 for the first year of study with a further £5,000 awarded in the second and third years of study, conditional on attainment of a 60% average in each year. Applicants for these awards must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time programme at Manchester and must submit an online scholarship application form by 19 May 2023.

Manchester Metropolitan University

  • Chancellor’s and Vice Chancellor’s International Awards
    • Exceptional international students, with offers for courses in selected subject areas, who will pay full overseas tuition fees. The value is between £6,000 and £8,000, in the first year of study. Scholarship applications are currently closed and are due to open in Spring 2023.   • NCUK International Excellence Scholarship
    • £5,000; The NCUK Salford Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship is open to applicants who have an offer for an undergraduate programme and have achieved 128 UCAS points (ABB grades or equivalent) and a minimum EAP C in the NCUK International Foundation Year.   • NCUK Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship (progression from International Year One)
    • £3,000; The NCUK Salford Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship (progression from IY1) is open to applicants who have studied the NCUK International Year One and have an offer for an undergraduate programme. Applicants must achieve 65% from 120 credits, with an EAP C or equivalent in the NCUK International Year 1. There is no application process.   • Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
    • Recipients will receive a 50% reduction in their tuition fees for the duration of their undergraduate or postgraduate degree (max. 4 years).     • Recipients will receive a 15% reduction in their tuition fees for the duration of their chosen

    • Six scholarships are valued at $5,000 NZD. Each is available for students who have successfully completed 1 year of study at an approved NCUK Centre, secured an offer for admissions and made an application to live on campus.   • Massey University International Excellence Scholarship
    • Worth up to $30,000. This scholarship will reward high-achieving and capable students undertaking full-time study at Massey, either online or at one of its three New Zealand campuses. To be eligible, students must have an admission offer or a conditional offer of a place, be a full fee-paying international student and be applying to study full-time. Application required. Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students

  • A value of NZD$10,000 for tuition fees for the first year of study is available to eligible students who are offered a place on an eligible course. No application is required. Further information can be found here.

Victoria University of Wellington

  • NCUK Merit Scholarship
    • Value $3,000 NZD is available for all International Foundation Year students who achieve an average B or higher on their foundation and enrol on a bachelor’s degree at the University of Wellington. An application is required.

University of Alberta

  • International Admission Scholarship
    • Top students could receive up to $5,000 CAD. Eligibility based on high school admission average. No application is required.
  • Regional Excellence Scholarship
    • Top students from certain regions could receive up to $5,000 CAD. Eligibility based on high school admission average. No application is required.
  • Gold Standard Scholarship
    • The top 5% of students in each faculty could receive up to $6,000 CAD. Eligibility based on high school admission average. No application is required.
  • International Leader Scholarship
    • Well-rounded leaders with superior academics may receive up to $10,000 CAD.
  • May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship
    • Students with a superior admission average and self-declared financial need entering their first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit who are Chinese or Hong Kong citizens could receive up to $100,000 (payable over 4 years).
  • President’s International Distinction Scholarship
    • Students with a superior admission average and demonstrated leadership qualities entering their first year of an undergraduate degree could receive up to $120,000 CAD (payable over 4 years).
  • You must apply to an undergraduate degree program before you can apply for any entrance scholarships. The deadline for application-based scholarships is January 11, 2023. State University of New York (SUNY) Oswego

SUNY Oswego provides outstanding scholarships to its undergraduate international students, including a guaranteed $9,000 annual Destination Oswego Scholarship. There is the possibility to obtain additional scholarships based on academic excellence, please see the rubric here.

SUNY Oswego also provides a new “Go Oswego International Scholarship”:

Scholarship Title: Go Oswego International Scholarship

Scholarship Award Amount: $4,000/year

Requirement: Students are required to live on-campus. If at any time the student moves off-campus, they will no longer qualify for any scholarships.

Renewal: up to 4 years (First year students); up to 3 years (Transfer students); Renewal requires maintaining full-time status, a minimum 3.00 GPA, and housing requirements at SUNY  Oswego.

How to apply: Students are not required to submit additional scholarship applications. If they’re fully accepted, they will automatically receive the Go Oswego International Scholarship.
