NCUK Prize Awards - 2021/22

NCUK is pleased to offer a range of Prize Awards for students who studied an NCUK qualification during the 2021/22 academic year.

NCUK Prize Awards available for 2021/22 students

International Foundation Year

NCUK students who studied the International Foundation Year qualification in the 2021/22 academic year could receive one of the following awards*:

  • The top-performing student at each NCUK Study Centre receives a prize of £500
  • The top-performing student globally who has completed the IFY Art & Design module and progressed to an arts-related course (eligible to all NCUK Study Centres delivering the IFY Art & Design module) will receive a prize of £500

*Students will only be eligible to win these awards if they successfully enrol at an NCUK University Partner..

International Year One

NCUK students who studied the International Year One qualification in the 2021/22 academic year could receive one of the following awards*:

  • The top-performing student on the Engineering stream globally receives a prize of £1000
  • The top-performing student on the Business stream in Asia receives a prize of £1000
  • The top-performing student on the Business stream in the rest of the world receives a prize of £1000

Master's Preparation

NCUK students who studied the Master’s Preparation qualification in the 2021/22 academic year could receive one of the following awards*:

  • The top-performing student in Asia receives a prize of £1000
  • The top-performing student in the rest of the world receives a prize of £1000
  • The top-performing student at SBC receives a prize of £1000

Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions apply to all NCUK Prize Awards.

Minimum Performance Requirements

  • IFY – Students must achieve more than 144 points in their subject modules to be eligible for an award. (Where the top performing student at a centre falls below this threshold and the delivery centre is within the first 5 years of their contract with NCUK, the student will be awarded an Outstanding Achievement award of £250)
  • IFY – Students must achieve more than 120 points in their subject modules to be eligible for an award.
  • IYOne – Students must average 70% or more and pass all modules to be eligible for an award.
  • PMP – Students must achieve a mark of 70% or more in the Research Methods module and an EAP grade B or better.

Eligibility for Awards

Students may only be awarded one prize.

The following students are not eligible for NCUK Prize Awards:

  • Students who have not been enrolled at an NCUK university
  • Students who defer their university place
  • Students who have received a scholarship from an NCUK university (non-automatic or surpasses £2,000)
  • Students who have completed NCUK programmes at the IEN Institute
