China Tour 2017 is a great success
After 3 weeks, 13 cities and 16 study centres, NCUK’s China Tour 2017 has come to an end. Along with international representatives and academic staff from several of NCUK’s partner universities, NCUK representatives were on hand to answers students’ questions, provide in-depth information about their courses and campuses and ease students through the decision-making processes ahead of making their university applications.
With university application deadlines fast approaching for students in our Chinese centres, current IFY students had the chance to speak directly to their chosen universities, listen to presentations preparing them for study in the UK and gain helpful tips from members of NCUK’s dedicated admissions and placement services team. NCUK Placement Officer, Sophie Thiele, praised university representatives for their continuing role in making the tour a success.
NCUK have toured our Study Centres in China with university representatives for several years and their continued participation – and enthusiasm – ensures that we can give our students the best support possible. The counselling provided by university staff to students is invaluable.
Market Development Director Georgina Jones also stated the importance of speaking with students in a one-to-one setting.
At a standard university fair, international students and their parents are often overwhelmed by hundreds of universities. Our counselling events are a chance for our students to speak to representatives in a more intimate setting, where they can take away genuine, helpful advice.
Students also expressed their delight at the events in their Study Centres, with many saying they feel better informed about their university applications after NCUK’s visit.
