NCUK announces Northern Powerhouse Partnership
Manchester-based global education provider, NCUK, are delighted to announce they have become a member of the Government’s Northern Powerhouse Partnership Programme.
NCUK is committed to promoting the benefits of studying and living in the north of England. We share in The Northern Powerhouse government’s vision for a super-connected, globally-competitive northern economy and actively promote the area throughout the world each year to prospective international students interested in studying in the UK. We are proud to announce our partnership with the Northern Powerhouse Programme alongside many of our founding member universities.

NCUK, the University Consortium, is one of a growing number of businesses from across the north that is part of the network who all believe strongly in the economic potential of the north and support the need for a combined effort by government and business to realise that potential.
In 2017/18, NCUK generated £22 million of tuition fees to predominantly northern universities and a similar amount directly into the economy through student living expenses. NCUK has a global network of over 60 Study Centres in more than 30 countries delivering its quality-assured qualifications to thousands of international students each year. It also coordinates more than 100 events worldwide, promoting the opportunities of studying in the UK and the benefits this offers.
I am delighted to welcome NCUK to our fast-growing Northern Powerhouse Partners Programme. It’s brilliant to see a Northern business placing a spotlight on our prestigious universities for an international audience and contributing to the economic strengths of our region. The Northern Powerhouse Partners Programme
The Northern Powerhouse Partners Programme is an important part of creating the Northern Powerhouse.
Government is building a network of partners who all believe strongly in the economic potential of the North and support the need for a combined effort by government and business to realise that potential. Nearly 200 businesses and organisations have signed up to the partner programme.
