NCUK shortlisted for EducationInvestor Awards 2021
We are honoured to have been shortlisted for the Education Investor Awards 2021 in the category of Pathway Provider.
This award seeks to recognise the efforts made by pathway providers that have continued to serve high volumes of students throughout the coronavirus pandemic, which has disrupted international student mobility and higher education provision.
Despite the challenges faced, in the summer of 2020, 2,488 students were successfully admitted to university or continued with further NCUK qualifications in-country. Our extraordinary efforts in providing students with flexible study options meant that 13% more students than in the previous year progressed to an NCUK University Partner.
Furthermore, seven Study Centres across six markets enabled 500 students to start the first year of their bachelor’s degree locally by completing the NCUK International Year One. This credit-bearing qualification gave students direct access to the second year of a bachelor’s degree at NCUK Universities in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Besides, our unique partnership with our Study Centre in Shanghai, The Sino-British College University of Shanghai for Science and Technology enabled over 250 students to fully complete a UK bachelor’s degree in-country thanks to our innovative 4+0 model, accredited by three of our UK University Partners.
Through a rapid acceleration of NCUK’s digital assessment project, we were able to ensure continuity across the whole NCUK Study Centre Network. Our flexible study options and our innovative digital assessment platform have allowed students to present full grade assessments to their receiving university, preparing them successfully to adapt to their university studies and ensuring that NCUK continues to meet its charitable objectives.
