So… it has been four years since I came to the Sheffield and today is our big day – we graduated. It is so quick that I can’t even believe I am talking about graduation in this blog.

Many people looked forward to the graduation ceremony, so did I. The university did make a lot of efforts preparing it – including registration of graduants, seat allocations, event planning and etc.

On the day, we wore academic robes and went to the Student Unions to celebrate this big moment together. The SU in Sheffield has been ranked the best in the past few years by the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey. In my mind, it is multifunctional – the place for night-out, exam sitting, exhibitions and now graduation ceremony; where we have left so much memory in our university life.

Following the ceremony at the University we then went on to the department – where the department teachers organised a proper farewell event with civil engineering students. There won’t be many chances in the future that we can see this amount of teachers together but I am sure I will visit them when I am back to visit Sheffield or they come and see me at other places. They have always cared about us, helped us in every way they could in the past few years.

Sheffield has always been an amazing place to me. I feel even more so sooner to my departure to a new city. I sometimes feel it is such a place that I stay long but get bored, but when I leave, even for little time, I always want to come back. I am very proud to be a Sheffield graduate and I definitely recommend this place to people that consider to study in England.
