Student Support services at NCUK Study Centres
Taking the step to further your education is a big decision and one that should not be taken lightly. When you start to research your progression options it is important that you don’t do this alone. Studying with NCUK opens a door to a world of support; teachers, counsellors, your peers and of course the NCUK Student Support team.
When you first join an NCUK programme you will be introduced to your teachers and a Student Counsellor at your Study Centre. You will also have an introductory session about your progression options with a member of NCUK’s Student Support team. Everyone that you meet along your journey to university will guide and prepare you for your next steps.
The NCUK Student Support team will show you where you can progress to; you may already know your final study destination, but there could be somewhere that you haven’t even considered…if you ever thought about furthering your education in some of the top universities in the world, then New Zealand could be an option for you! The team at NCUK will be on hand to guide you through the application process and can even run a workshop on how to write a stand-out Personal Statement.
Once your application to university has been submitted, you will be guided on your next steps. Your teachers are there to help you achieve the conditions of your university offers, your Student Counsellor will support you with making your final decision on where you want to study and the NCUK Student Support team will provide online sessions about making a decision on the accommodation you should apply for, what documents you need to prepare before making your visa application and finally a session on pre-departure where we cover anything from a packing list to what you need to do in your first week at university.
We also understand that sometimes things may not go to plan, and you may not meet the conditions of your university offers. If this happens, we will be on hand to offer you support in finding a place at a university that is suitable for your grades by using our University Application Service – if you have passed your programme all you need to do is wait for offers to be made to you from our university partners and then decide which one you want to take. It really couldn’t be easier!
