*H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) is new and delivery of NCUK qualifications is subject to completing NCUK’s accreditation process. 

The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) was established in 1990 as the British Virgin Islands Community College under the College Act of that year.

The institution, which is situated on over 100 acres of land at Paraquita Bay on the eastern end of Tortola, was subsequently renamed in honour of the founding Chairman of the College, the late Chief Minister, Honourable Hamilton Lavity Stoutt. The current President, Dr. Richard Georges, was appointed on 1st October 2020.

In November 2004, the College, in collaboration with the UK-based Chartered Management Institute, began offering their Certificate, Diploma and Executive Diploma in Management. The College’s Virgin Islands Studies Institute, established in 1997 to serve as a source of information and analysis on the Virgin Islands, continues to encourage and stimulate research on Virgin Islands heritage and now incorporates NCUK qualifications such as the International Year One in Business Management to allow students to complete the first year of a UK bachelor’s degree locally.
