NCUK Celebrates the Success of its 2020/21 Cohort

As NCUK students from around the world start to prepare for the next step of their academic journey at university, we reflect on the past academic year and celebrate the successes of our 2020/21 student cohort.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, 95% of the NCUK class of 2021 have been accepted into their first-or second-choice places at university. Because of the high calibre of NCUK students, this year’s cohort have received offers from top-ranked NCUK Universities worldwide in popular study destinations such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, the Caribbean and more.

NCUK’s Academic Director, Emma Dawkins says:

Once again, our students have demonstrated resilience, hard work and commitment to their education by undertaking their full assessments and successfully completing their qualifications. Congratulations to all students on your acceptance into university. We know that by having studied an NCUK qualification, you will find yourself in good stead for a successful university education.

NCUK has an established assessment model that provides quality assured, robust, fair results which students, their parents and the NCUK Universities can trust.  In Autumn 2020 we introduced the NCUK learning and assessment platform to address the variable impact of COVID-19 and ensure that all our students could achieve their full potential.  The 2020/21 cohort completed their NCUK qualifications through sitting final examinations either at their Study Centre or online via the NCUK learning and assessment platform.

Dr Malcolm Butler, Vice-President and Director of Global Engagement at The University of Sheffield says:

Congratulations to all NCUK students on successfully completing your qualifications. In what has been another extraordinary year, we are delighted to be welcoming so many students to The University of Sheffield and we look forward to supporting you as you continue your educational journey at a world-class university. We’d also like to credit NCUK and its Study Centres for continuing to offer assessment to all students, as we know that with your results, you will be best placed to succeed in your studies at university.

NCUK’s innovative approach to assessments and education provision has also been recognised internationally, being named as finalists at two major international higher education award ceremonies:

Our flexible study options and digital assessment platform have enabled students to present full grade assessments to their receiving university. Our strong quality assurance and assessment model also helped to ensure that results are fair and accurate across our global network of Study Centres and that no student was disadvantaged.

Because of our unique relationships with our universities, student results are released directly to universities and are delivered well in advance of key university deadlines to ensure that students have a seamless transition to our University Partners around the world.   For example, for study in the UK, our students who start their NCUK qualification in September or October receive their results and university placement confirmations in July, providing additional weeks to apply for visas and make practical arrangements.

If you would like to join our next cohort of students and start your journey to university, our Study Centres around the world are now recruiting for students to start in the 21/22 academic year. You can find your nearest Study Centre here.
