At the end of April, the NCUK China Partner Conference brought together Delivery Partners from across China to attend a two-day conference in Beijing with this year’s theme being ‘Driving Quality Education Forward Together’.

An important event in NCUK’s calendar, it also marked the first time that Delivery Partners have been able to come together since the COVID-19 pandemic began, providing an opportunity for celebration as it was an informative and collaborative space for NCUK Delivery Partners.

The event was an opportunity for Delivery Partners to network and learn about recent activity and upcoming projects for NCUK, including gaining valuable information about NCUK’s new strategy and how this will benefit all Delivery Partners. As NCUK’s largest market (40+ institutions in China currently deliver NCUK qualifications), it was integral to host this conference in Beijing and provide these updates in person.

Stuart Smith, Chief Executive Officer at NCUK, delivered a keynote speech that expressed gratitude to staff in China for their support, provided background on recent NCUK activity, and announced the core strategic plan for the next five years of NCUK.

Yanping Zhang, Director of International Cooperation Office at International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University which has been delivering NCUK qualifications since 2014, spoke about the school’s experience with NCUK and stated:

In addition to academic classes, NCUK qualifications provide students with cross-cultural communications and learning methods, such as time management, as well as how to write papers and how to search for literature. NCUK has been very helpful to our students.

During the conference, New Oriental Beijing representatives shared successful recruitment and marketing strategies while NCUK’s Associate Director, China, discussed the Chinese market and NCUK qualifications and the latest student recruitment and marketing techniques to attract the brightest candidates.

We have around 40% of our students come from China, and this is why we strive to provide the best possible support to our Chinese students.
