International Year One *Beijing Institute of Technology Shenzhen Research Institute is new and delivery of NCUK qualifications is subject to completing NCUK’s accreditation process.
Beijing Institute of Technology Shenzhen Research Institute is a bureau-level institution affiliated with the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). It is an entity platform for BIT to carry out talent training, technology development, achievement transformation, and the establishment of high-tech enterprises in Shenzhen. Founded in 1940, BIT is a major research university under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is well known as the ‘cradle of red defence engineers’. The institute will be delivering NCUK’s International Foundation Year and International Year One in Business Management qualifications.
BIT Shenzhen Research Institute was established in Shenzhen in April 2000 and is one of the first university research institutes to enter Shenzhen Virtual University Park. Over the years, BIT Shenzhen Research Institute has recruited approximately 13,000 modern distance education students and undergraduates, app 10,000 graduates, and currently has 2,901 students. It has made due contributions to the talent training and economic construction of Shenzhen.
The institute focuses on strategic emerging industries such as the internet, biology, new energy, and new-generation information technology as well as future industries such as aerospace, life health, wearable devices and intelligent equipment industry. It will be committed to improving its sci-tech innovation capability, working closely with Shenzhen to promote the deep integration of industry, university and research, and to promote the transformation of science & technology achievements.
