Collaboration across the network in China
Over the course of the academic year, NCUK has had many Delivery Partners join us globally. One such institution which has recently been accredited is Jiangsu Huai’an Middle School.
The new centre requested for training in academic management and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) for their new teaching team as they had just established the international division within the school. We connected them to our Delivery Partner, No.7 High School International Department in Chengdu, who very kindly stepped-up to assist the centre with their onboarding and were willing to share their knowledge and best practices.
Chengdu No. 7 High School won the Excellence in Academic Administration Award at the NCUK Partner Conference 2019 and the Academic Manager, Mr Adam McRoy, travelled to Huai’an for a 2-day training on 6-8 of December 2019.
Adam’s training was insightful as he was able to provide us with hands-on training from his years of experience as an Academic Manager and EAP teacher for NCUK qualifications. There were a lot of examples and best practices shared which will enable Huai’an to jumpstart the delivery of the Pre-IFY and IFY qualifications in January 2020

The Huai’an team then undertook a study visit to the Chengdu centre on 16-18 December 2019 to observe the NCUK International Foundation Year qualification classes being conducted. This has helped them reinforce their learning and further engage with the teaching team at the centre.
We would like to thank Chengdu No. 7 High School and Adam McRoy for their effort and dedication in assisting the new Delivery Partner to start their NCUK journey on the right footing. We hope that more Academic Managers and teachers from our Global Network would be willing to share their experiences and good practice through mentoring other Delivery Partners world-wide.
