Graduations across China!

Posted:

This summer marks the end to many students’ time with NCUK as they get ready to learn of their results and prepare for progressing to university. Study Centres around the world are celebrating their students’ achievements through graduation ceremonies and NCUK Academic Director, Emma Dawkins recently attended ceremonies across China to congratulate NCUK students on all their hard work.

Students from NCUK Study Centres in Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Chongqing, Qingdao, Suzhou and Wuhan who have successfully completed the International Foundation Year qualification will be taking the next step in their educational journey by progressing to an NCUK University in September 2019. These students came together to attend these ceremonies to celebrate with family, friends, Study Centre staff as well as other representatives.

Recognising and celebrating our students’ success is a huge part of the NCUK ethos and again meant we were very keen to be here today to celebrate the academic success of you all. This is a very special occasion where together with your families, academic tutors and staff we are here to mark the end of one set of challenges and the beginning of a new and exciting journey. Well done!

During her travels, Emma visited Suzhou International Foundation School’s graduation day, which coincided with their 15th anniversary. The atmosphere couldn’t be better since alumni who studied at the centre were invited to the ceremony and shared their success stories; and we are sure that those who graduated this year will follow in their footsteps. Emma was proud to see these students celebrate their achievements and had the chance to meet them as well as Study Centre representatives. We are very pleased to hear what students and parents had to say in their speeches and we wish them the best of luck for the future.

Over the last 30 years, we’ve helped over 30,000 students to achieve their academic dream. You are joining a huge network of alumni from around the world and I encourage you to take advantage of that by getting involved in our alumni networks and NCUK student events when you come to the UK later this year and for new students, in the future. I look forward to welcoming students at this year’s NCUK student awards in the UK in November this year.
