Success in Pakistan with the NCUK Summer Programme 2023!

Posted:

NCUK has successfully collaborated with colleagues in Pakistan, along with NCUK Study Centres and University Partners, to bring the NCUK Summer Programme to local students. The programme was well received by students who received valuable information and advice, leading to positive feedback:

The session was extremely informative. It answered many of my questions, and I really enjoyed it.

University campuses

The programme, which took place virtually through June and July 2023, is a new initiative for Pakistan, giving students in the region an opportunity to learn about the benefits of studying an NCUK qualification and the study abroad options available following the successful completion of their qualification.

Over 300 students applied for the programme, demonstrating the passion of local students in Pakistan who are interested in studying abroad. Students were able to learn directly from NCUK University Partners, including the University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds, Liverpool John Moores University, and the University of Salford.

Representatives from these university partners as well as from Beaconhouse International College, an NCUK Study Centre with campuses in Islamabad, Lahore, and Faisalabad, presented informative sessions on public speaking, personal statements, communication skills, digital media, and more.

This programme presented fantastic opportunities for students to gain key insights that will help them become better prepared for studying with NCUK and their overall study abroad journey to university. Involving partners from across the NCUK Global Network truly helped in making this programme a success. I would like to thank all staff involved, with special thanks to colleagues in Pakistan for organising and delivering the programme as well as NCUK University Partners for their continued support.

Maria McKenna, Global Development Director

Stuart Smith, NCUK’s Chief Executive Officer helped to close the programme by attending the closing ceremony virtually and thanking staff and students for their participation.

The positive response to the NCUK Summer Programme opens up opportunities for similar events to take place in the future. NCUK thanks everyone who took part in making this event a success.
