Global Engagement Conference 2024
We are delighted to invite you to NCUK’s first Global Engagement Conference since the pandemic, hosted this year at the University of Huddersfield, one of our founding university partners.

While the event is free for our valued partners, attendees are required to cover the costs of flights, internal transfers, and accommodation.

Accommodation
Attendees must secure, book, and cover their own travel and accommodation. This includes the total costs of flights, internal transfers, and accommodation throughout the event.
We have reserved rooms at Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield, but the number of places is limited. Please book your accommodation as soon as possible.
Cedar Court Hotel, Huddersfield Booking Guidance: Guests wishing to book these rooms should call reservations on 01422 375431 (Option 1) or email reservations.huddersfield@cedarcourthotels.co.uk and use the code ‘HUD251124’. You must use this code to benefit from the secured rooms and corporate pricing rate.
Other hotels are available, but we only have allocations at this hotel reserved for NCUK’s attendees.
These hotels are just a short walk from the University of Huddersfield, so you will not need coach transportation if you stay at one of them:

To fully benefit from the conference and related activities, we advise you to stay during one of the following periods:
- Monday, 25 November 2024 – Friday, 29 November 2024 if you wish to organise meetings with NCUK colleagues on the Thursday after the conference
- Monday, 25 November 2024 – Thursday, 28 November 2024 if you wish to depart straight away after the conference
Transport
We have arranged for free coach transfers between the following hotels and the conference/awards venue throughout the event from these hotels:
If you choose to stay at another hotel or are not ready to depart at the pre-published times, then transport to and from the conference venue and/or awards venue will be your responsibility (and at your own cost).
Anyone staying in a local hotel in Huddersfield Town Centre will be dropped off at the University Campus after the conclusion of the Awards Dinner and not at their hotel.
Visa Supporting Letters
Visa letters requested will be issued in August. If you require a visa letter, please ensure your request is submitted promptly.

Awards
The Global Engagement Conference Awards 2024, will be held on Tuesday, November 26th, at 7:00 PM at John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield.
This event will recognise and celebrate our delivery partners’ outstanding achievements and contributions. There are 27 awards throughout the evening, with five of these being submission-based awards, allowing your study centre to put together your nomination for the category.
