International Year Two in Business Management

What is it?

The International Year Two in Business Management is a second-year undergraduate equivalent qualification that builds knowledge and skills in the Business Management field. It prepares and qualifies you for entry to the third year (FHEQ Level 6) of a range of undergraduate degree courses including business management, marketing, events management, and many more at De Montfort University, the University of Huddersfield, Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Salford, Sheffield Hallam University, the University of the West of England – UWE Bristol or the University of Westminster.

This programme allows you to save time and money on tuition and living fees by completing the second year of a bachelor’s degree in your home country and, upon successful completion, progress directly into the final year at one of seven NCUK University Partners to complete your bachelor’s degree.

As shown in the image above, the International Year Two in Business Management is equivalent to the second year of a university degree. You will study a range of modules delivered by experienced teaching staff at NCUK Study Centres where you will build your knowledge in the business management field.

Once you successfully complete the programme you can choose from a range of different degree courses at seven universities where you will study the final year and graduate with a full degree from this university!

What modules will I study?

During the programme, you will study 6 compulsory modules related to Business Management:

  • Human Resource Management
  • Information Systems
  • Operations Management
  • Entrepreneurship & Small Business
  • Financial Management
  • Research Methods

Each module is worth 20 credits and passing a module (overall module mark above 40%) will result in you achieving the credits for that module.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment for each module will be via a combination of coursework and examinations.

To pass the programme, you need to achieve an overall average mark of 40% or above with a minimum of 100 credits being awarded.

Entry requirements

  • An overall Pass grade on the NCUK International Year One Business Management
  • An NCUK EAP grade C / IELTS 6.0
  • Other FHEQ Level 4 qualifications may also be used for entry on a case-by-case basis, please check with your local Study Centre.
