Beaconhouse International College launches with NCUK!
In February 2023, NCUK was delighted to take part in Beaconhouse International College’s (BIC) launch event proceedings, officially launching the partnership between the two organisations.
Taking place at their Islamabad campus, BIC welcomed David Hodgson, Regional Director (East, Southeast and South Asia Region) from NCUK who met with staff and toured the facilities.
Prior to the official ceremony, David sat down with staff from the college, including counsellors and careers advisers, to present information about the International Foundation Year qualification, the benefits of studying it, the university progression options available following its completion and the wider global impact of NCUK. This provided staff with knowledge that will be used when they speak with prospective students and parents who are thinking of studying with NCUK at BIC.
This was followed by a certificate signing presentation which saw David sign certificates of participation and present them to staff who took part in the day’s session.

Later that day, the launch ceremony began with David, alongside members of staff from BIC, representatives from local schools, universities and other distinguished guests arriving to take part in the proceedings. Organisers from BIC warmly welcomed guests and presented VIPs with flowers and later launch statues to commemorate the occasion.

Several VIPs gave speeches, highlighting the importance of international education and promoting the new partnership between NCUK and Beaconhouse International College. Speakers included Mr Nassir Mahmud Kasuri – Chief Executive Officer, Beaconhouse International College; Mr Attaullah Tarar – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Legal and Interior Affairs; Miss Sandra Baldwin – Deputy Director Development, British High Commission Pakistan; Mr Ludovico Roi – Regional Manager South Asia, Liverpool John Moores University; and Miss Safia Cassim – Country Operation Head, Beaconhouse International College. I really want to thank the team for the event they’ve put together. I think this is the most fantastic launch event I’ve attended for a new NCUK Partner and it just shows what Beaconhouse is capable of, and is a testament to how well we believe they’re going to deliver our qualifications over the next years for NCUK.
