The event took place at UTC’s campus in Tunis and it welcomed a series of prestigious guest speakers including Her Majesty’s Ambassador Edward Oakden; UTC President Khaldoun Ben Taarit and UTC-NCUK Academic Director Sheryl Meyer as well as members of the media and other VIP guests.

NCUK CEO, Professor John Brewer; Market Development Associate Director, Andrew Straughan; and Academic Associate Director Nico Decourt were delighted to join virtually.

Partnering with UTC is an extension to the significant growth and demand NCUK has undergone across the MENA region over recent years. In UTC, who orchestrated a fantastic launch together with the British Embassy and NCUK colleagues to mark the new partnership, students will have the opportunity to start their international path in Tunis from this September within a world-class teaching environment. I am looking forward to working with UTC on a range of initiatives which will provide flexibility and choice to many students in the years to come, this is especially compatible as Tunisia seeks to become a hub for international students. Once again, thank you to all colleagues involved and a huge welcome to the NCUK Study Centre network!

Andrew Straughan, Associate Director – Africa, Middle East, Europe and Americas

The partnership between NCUK and UTC is the first one to take place in Tunisia and it will pave the way for thousands of students who wish to follow an international pathway leading to world-ranked universities.
