NCUK delegates had the opportunity to attend the launch event hosted by its new Delivery Partner, University of Technology Bahrain (UTB). This took place in June, and it also provided a chance to speak to over 200 prospective students and their parents about the university options available to them.
This event allowed NCUK and UTB to officially mark the beginning of a new partnership as well as showcase the exciting new programme offering which will be available to students from across Bahrain and the Gulf region from September.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Hasan Almulla, the President of the University of Technology Bahrain, expressed sincere appreciation and commendation to Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa for her patronage of the event and unparalleled support of the university’s development plans. Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana praised the idea of having an open day for students and parents to learn about the programme offerings and also congratulated UTB on the new programmes approved by Higher Education Council – this including NCUK’s International Foundation Year qualification.
Partnering with University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) is an extension to the significant growth and demand NCUK has undergone across the MENA region over recent years. In UTB, who orchestrated a fantastic launch together under the patronage of the Higher Education Council in Bahrain, students will have the opportunity to start their international study journey in Bahrain.
Andrew Straughan, Regional Director (Africa, Middle East, Europe and Americas)
UTB is already a well-established and highly-respected university within Bahrain, going through an ambitious development project both in terms of facilities and academic infrastructure, as well as introducing a range of both tertiary and international programmes.
