NCUK is excited to be entering Laos with two new partnerships, marking a significant milestone in expanding access to world-class education in Southeast Asia. NCUK’s newest partnerships are with Panyathip British International School (PBIS) and St Hugh’s College Vientiane.

Founded in 2001 in Vientiane, Panyathip British International School (PBIS) is recognised for its student-centred approach, experienced educators, and high-quality international programmes.

As the first and only school in Laos to be a member of both the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), PBIS upholds exceptional standards in international education. PBIS will deliver the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) programme.

St Hugh’s College Vientiane (SHV) received full authorisation from the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports in late 2023 to provide programs up to level 5. The founder of SHV is the principal owner of PBIS, which currently serves over 1,000 students.

The achievements of PBIS serve as a promising indicator for the future success of SHV. SHV will offer the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) and International Year One (IYOne) in Business Management from September 2025, giving students a direct route to prestigious universities worldwide.
