NCUK’s recent visit to Kandy marked a significant milestone as the team saw the new campus and engaged with prospective students, faculty, and staff. This expansion is a testament to NCUK’s commitment to providing students with a world-class education and a seamless pathway to prestigious universities worldwide.
“APIIT Sri Lanka is proud to partner with NCUK University Pathways in inaugurating its second NCUK Study Centre at the APIIT Kandy Campus. This is our 5th year delivering the flagship NCUK International Foundation Year, the only A Level equivalent foundation programme in Sri Lanka. We are excited about increasing access to NCUK University pathways awards to a larger population of learners outside the western province of Sri Lanka and opening a world of higher education possibilities for these young learners.”
Gamindu Hemachandra, Chief Academic Officer of APIIT
APIIT Sri Lanka’s new facility in Kandy is designed to offer a high-quality learning environment up to international standards. The state-of-the-art campus features modern lecture theatres that foster an engaging academic experience, an extensive IT infrastructure to support digital learning, open study and workspace areas that encourage collaboration, and a well-equipped library with online resources to support academic excellence.
With the NCUK International Foundation Year, students will be equipped with a strong academic foundation and the skills needed to thrive in higher education abroad.
“At NCUK, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. The launch of a second campus with our strategic partner APIIT, in the second largest city of Kandy in Sri Lanka is more than just a milestone—it’s a commitment to making high-quality, accessible education a reality for more learners. We are excited about this next chapter and look forward to supporting even more students as they embark on their educational journey.”
Stuart Smith, CEO at NCUK
During the visit, NCUK colleagues met and interacted with prospective students and faculty members. The enthusiasm and ambition displayed by the students reinforced our confidence in Kandy’s potential as a hub for academic excellence.
NCUK remains committed to fostering academic success and expanding opportunities for students in Sri Lanka and looks forward to welcoming the next generation of learners at the new study centre in Kandy and supporting them in achieving their academic and career aspirations.
