Through this new partnership, NCUK students who successfully complete the International Foundation Year (IFY) will be able to progress to NUMed’s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences, creating exciting pathways into medical and biomedical careers.
Each programme fully reflects the curriculum and rigorous academic standards of Newcastle University, ensuring students receive the same high-quality education in Malaysia. Importantly, the MBBS degree awarded at NUMed is recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC), UK, allowing graduates to pursue further training or registration in the UK, subject to prevailing local requirements. This offers students a clear, accessible route to a globally respected medical education and future professional opportunities.
