NCUK is pleased to see the recent announcement from the Secretary of State for Education, The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, stating how welcome international students are in the UK and confirming the Graduate route visa will remain in place.

Speaking at the Embassy Education Conference in the UK, the Secretary of State for Education highlighted the significant contributions of international students to the British economy and local communities, emphasising the mutual benefits of a diverse student population.

Be in no doubt: international students are welcome in the UK. This new government values their contribution – to our universities, to our communities, to our country. That’s why we offer the opportunity to remain in the UK on a graduate visa for 2 years after their studies end – or 3 for PhDs – to work, to live, and to contribute.
