We are absolutely delighted to announce that NCUK has been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for 2026 – the UK’s most prestigious business award, personally approved by His Majesty The King.

King's Award emblem

We are one of only a small number of organisations across the UK to receive this honour in 2026, and we join a community of more than 8,000 enterprises that have been recognised since the scheme began in 1965.

The King’s Award for Enterprise is the highest accolade a UK business can receive. It is awarded in four categories: Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development, and Promoting Opportunity.

The International Trade award recognises organisations that have achieved outstanding growth in overseas sales and sustained excellence in international operations.

This award reflects the incredible work of our team and the trust placed in us by our international partners, study centres, universities, and our students. Over the past several years, we have:

  • Expanded our international presence into new markets;
  • Grown our overseas student enrolments;
  • Deepened partnerships with universities and study centres; and
  • Maintained our commitment to delivering qualifications that are respected worldwide.

The King’s Award is the ultimate recognition of what our team and our international partners have built together. It also reflects the progress we have made as an organisation over the last few years.

I am immensely proud of the work of everyone at NCUK and our global community. Together, we will build on this recognition to continue increasing access for students worldwide, support educators around the globe in delivering international qualifications in their own countries, and strengthen the internationalisation and quality of education standards worldwide.

Stuart Smith, NCUK’s Chief Executive Officer
