Applications are now open for students to study the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) at the Lekki campus from September 2018, which gives students in Nigeria another opportunity to start their journey to studying with NCUK and at one of our NCUK Universities:

I know speaking on behalf of the NCUK Universities that the whole consortium is absolutely delighted to continue to accept and support NCUK student’s progression onto our degree programmes. NCUK students are extremely well prepared for their degree programmes in the UK. The NCUK qualifications are of exceptional quality, designed in collaboration with and for the universities and combine high academic standards, with language, study, social and cultural skills. The level of preparedness of NCUK students is demonstrated in the latest data collected from universities which shows that over 80% of students going onto achieve a first or second-class degree.

Also in attendance was Maria McKenna (NCUK Regional Director), Stephen Forbes (Director of Operations, British Council in Nigeria) and Yusuff Kaffo (Senior International Officer, University of Salford)

This continuation and development of an already successful partnership between Oxbridge and NCUK is part of a unique collaborative project which is an outstanding example of the successful relationship between the UK and Nigeria.

After the launch of the Lekki campus, Oxbridge’s graduation ceremony for students from 2017/18 took place which was a joint celebration for new graduates and the 25th anniversary of Oxbridge Tutorial College. This celebration was attended by Oxbridge staff, students and alumni with NCUK’s Maria McKenna joining in with the festivities. Maria took part in the graduation, providing awards for graduating students. After this, Maria surprised Oxbridge by awarding them a plaque in honour of their 25th anniversary!

This year Oxbridge is celebrating their 25th year anniversary. Oxbridge remains NCUK’s first and oldest partner not just here in Nigeria but across the African continent. Since 2004, Oxbridge has become an extremely important partner for NCUK and again I want to take the opportunity to congratulate owner and pioneer, Dr Ogunsanya for the dedication and commitment towards providing Nigerians with unparalleled and unique pathways and opportunities to gain a world-class education in the UK and beyond! This year also marks the start of a brand new journey between NCUK and Oxbridge with the opening of a brand new site in Lekki this coming September! This aims to provide students with an alternative location to study within Lagos, and also aims to build on the success in Ikeja, with over 500 Oxbridge International Foundation Year students having progressed to world-class UK Universities.
