Welcoming New NCUK Study Centres – September 2025 Roundup

Posted:

As part of NCUK’s continued commitment to expanding access to world-class higher education, we are delighted to welcome two new Study Centres to our global network this September:

Sulaimani

University of Sulaimani International Study Centre, Kurdistan, Iraq

Founded in 1968, the University of Sulaimani is the oldest and one of the largest public universities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and is home to several academic and research centres, including the Gender Equality Centre, Career Development Centre, and Psychology Counselling Centre.

The University of Sulaimani is also the first NCUK Study Centre to deliver NCUK University Pathway Programmes in Iraq, currently offering the NCUK International Foundation Year. On 11 September, representatives from the university visited NCUK’s London office to celebrate the official launch of this partnership, a significant step forward in expanding access to international higher education opportunities for students across the region.

Sedbergh launch

Sedbergh Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Sedbergh Vietnam, a member of the EQuest Education Group, is one of Ho Chi Minh City’s leading bilingual international schools.Building on over 500 years of academic excellence from its sister institution, Sedbergh School in the UK, it offers bilingual and monolingual programmes that provide students with access to the renowned British education system and year-round academic exchange opportunities.

The launch of Sedbergh Vietnam’s partnership with NCUK marks an exciting milestone in expanding access to global education pathways for students in Vietnam. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Ms. Alexandra Smith (His Majesty’s Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City), Ms. Phuong Ho (Representative of the British Embassy in Vietnam), and Mr. Adrian Ting (Regional Manager of NCUK).

These new additions mark an exciting step forward in providing students across Iraq and Vietnam with the opportunity to gain internationally recognised NCUK qualifications and progress to leading universities around the world.

We look forward to supporting both centres as they prepare to welcome their first cohorts of students and further strengthen NCUK’s global presence.
