A major recent development is the transformation of the historic Bank Plain building, once a bank and now an exciting university space. It brings together key student services and social areas, including the canteen, Students’ Union Hub, Student Support Services, a project hall, and a commuter kitchen, creating a central place for connection, collaboration, and relaxation.

The university is also home to cutting-edge facilities such as the Virtual Production Studio, designed for immersive filmmaking, real-time visualisation, and interactive media creation using advanced LED technology and industry-standard equipment.

Other specialist spaces include the Banking Hall Project Studio, 2D/3D animation studios, Creative Tech Lab, acting studios, 3D workshop, painting studio, textile print and dye workshop, photography studios, Immersive Visualisation and Simulation Lab (IVSL), Esports Lab, library, and the East Gallery, ensuring students have everything they need to experiment, create, and succeed professionally.

Sports & Clubs

Norwich University of the Arts’ students can take membership of the UEA Sportspark, the largest indoor community sports venue in the UK. As our campus is in the centre of Norwich, students have easy access to a several gyms with discounted rates for those in full-time education. The Students Union is also a member of British Universities and Colleges Sport and offers a range of individual and team sports.

Norwich Arts Students’ Union is home to over 30 clubs and societies to take part in, from football and netball to Dungeons & Dragons and film. It’s a great way to meet students with similar interests and make the most of your time at university.
