The International Student Experience Team provides guidance on practical matters like opening a bank account, registering with a doctor, visa queries and adjusting to life in a new culture. They also run events throughout the year to help you meet people and make Leicester feel like home.

The Global Lounge is a relaxed social space on campus where international and UK students connect through cultural celebrations, quiz nights, food events and creative workshops. You can also access a wide range of wellbeing and academic support services, from study skills guidance to mental health support, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive.

Life in Leicester

Leicester is one of the UK’s most diverse and student-friendly cities. You’ll find global cuisines, cultural festivals, museums, parks, escape rooms, cinemas and more. The city hosts one of the largest Diwali celebrations outside India, creating an unforgettable experience, and is also home to the Leicester Comedy Festival, one of the biggest comedy festivals in Europe, offering shows, workshops and events that bring the city to life each year.
