What are the Entry Requirements?
  • ABB from the NCUK International Foundation Year, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics OR Maths
  • English Language: English for Academic Purposes (EAP) grade A
  • Applicants must also possess a minimum Grade B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and one other subject at IGCSE/O Level (or equivalent).

What is the Tuition Fee?

The tuition fee for full-time international students studying this degree is RM 132,000 per year (excluding 6% SST). International students can benefit from a lower overall cost of obtaining a Newcastle University medical degree compared to studying in the UK. What are the employability opportunities?

Throughout your studies at NUMed Malaysia, you’ll receive comprehensive support to prepare for your next steps. This competitive process allocates Foundation Year 1 placements, offering you the opportunity to begin your medical career alongside other talented graduates.

International graduates are not eligible to obtain a pre-registration internship in Malaysia, and you should therefore ensure that your own country will offer you a house officer post after qualifying at NUMed Malaysia.

In addition, international graduates are eligible to apply for internship/housemanship in the UK or known as UK Foundation Programme (UKFP) provided by NHS Postgraduate Deaneries. You will complete 2 years of training and after one year of training and successful ARCP panel, you will be eligible for full registration with the GMC. However, this option may change before you graduate and cannot be guaranteed.
