International Programs Center Zhuhai Campus, Jinan University*

It is a national “Double First-Class” construction university jointly built by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, directly under the administration of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee. 

Rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the university has five campuses across three cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhuhai. It currently has 50,437 full-time students, including 33,109 undergraduates and 17,328 postgraduates. Among them, 17,190 are students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas Chinese and international students. 

Boasting a full range of disciplines covering arts, science, engineering and medicine, Jinan University features prominent comprehensive strengths and great potential for interdisciplinary integration. At present, the university has 1 national “Double First-Class” construction discipline, 4 national key second-tier disciplines, 5 key second-tier disciplines of traditional Chinese medicine designated by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as 22 key first-tier disciplines, 4 key second-tier disciplines and 1 interdisciplinary key discipline of Guangdong Province. 

As of March 2026, 19 disciplines of the university have entered the top 1% of the ESI Global Ranking, tying for the 3rd place among universities in Guangdong. Among these, five disciplines — Pharmacology & Toxicology, Environmental Science/Ecology, Engineering, Materials Science, and Chemistry — have ranked among the top 0.1% of the ESI Global Ranking, tying for the 16th place among mainland Chinese universities and the 2nd place among Guangdong universities.

To meet the talent cultivation needs for regional economic and social development, Jinan University has established an all-round strategic cooperative relationship with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange. Leveraging its high-quality domestic and international educational resources, the university runs overseas study training programs. 

The Education Service Center of Jinan University Zhuhai Campus has set up an NCUK International Foundation Centre. The centre provides students with personalized academic support and diverse development platforms, laying a solid foundation for their academic competence, English proficiency and cross-cultural adaptability, enabling them to seamlessly progress to overseas universities.
