Taunton School International
Taunton School is just over 160 years old and is located in the South West of England, with excellent transport links to London. It is an independent school for approximately 1100 boys and girls, aged from 2 – 18 years with approximately 400 boarders. The aim of the School is to challenge, nurture and inspire young people to succeed in a global community.
Taunton School comprises of the Senior School (TS), the Preparatory School (TPS) and the Pre-Preparatory School (TPPS) for students aged 2 – 18. The school also comprises of Taunton School International (TSI) and Taunton School International Middle School (TSIMS) for students 8 – 18.
Taunton School International (TSI) was set up by Taunton School in 1996 to provide a first step for overseas students wishing to complete their education in a British school. It is located on the school campus, is fully residential and has places for up to 85 boys and girls aged 14 – 18 who are on a one/two-year GCSE programme or one/two-year Foundation programme.
As a non-selective school, we are extremely proud of our results, which are consistently and significantly higher than the national averages. TSI shares the schools facilities, covering 56 acres and include a theatre, dance studio, music school, library, Sixth Form Centre, Careers Department, Chapel, IT suites, sports halls, rifle range, two indoor swimming pools, fitness suite, tennis courts, squash courts and sports pitches.
We very much look forward to welcoming international students on to our International Foundation Year programme where every student receives a highly rounded and rewarding education in which they are challenged, nurtured and inspired and their well-being is at the heart of everything we do.
Adrian Hallworth, Principal.
