Amjad Pervez talks to IFY students about innovation and technology in education
Last week, Riphah University in Islamabad welcomed Amjad Pervez, a prominent and successful businessman from Bradford, as he delivered a lecture to current NCUK IFY students. Mr Pervez moved from Pakistan to Bradford as a child, and grew a small family business into a large-scale food supplier with outlets across the north of England. He spoke to the students about the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills from a young age, and the role of creativity, problem-solving and risk-taking when embarking on a career in business. He was also on hand to discuss living and studying in the UK.
We are delighted that Mr. Pervez was able to speak to our IFY students and thank him for his fascinating and unique insights into the world of business. Mr. Pervez is a close friend of our partner, the University of Bradford, which is home to one of the UK’s top business schools. The School of Management is one of the top 1% of business schools globally and one of the few institutions in the world with triple-crown accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, a mark of teaching and research excellence. They also offer work experience placements with top firms like IBM, and even give undergraduates the chance to start their own business under guidance of professionals.
