The Sino-British College, USST celebrates its 15 year anniversary!
The Sino-British College, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and commemorated this by holding an anniversary event in October 2021.
Established in September 2006, the partnership between NCUK and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) was one of the first transnational education (TNE) partnerships to be granted its second ten-year licence and has supported thousands of students over the last 15 years in their progression to one of nine UK universities.
The anniversary event itself was attended by a number of guests including staff and leaders from The Sino-British College, USST and its affiliates, the International Exchange Office of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the British Consulate General in Shanghai, the Shanghai Education International Exchange Association, the British Council, the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, staff from NCUK Universities, alumni and students.

The Sino-British College, USST has always insisted on continuously cultivating students’ thinking and communication skills on the basis of imparting academic knowledge; the college will continue to cooperate with universities and strive to build the college into an outstanding international academic institution.

During the anniversary event, The Sino-British College, USST were pleased to present a number of awards to NCUK Universities, NCUK representatives and staff from the college to thank them for their continued support. These included ‘Special Recognition Awards‘ for NCUK and college staff as well as nine ‘University Partner Awards‘ which were presented to the University of Bradford, University of Huddersfield, University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, Liverpool John Moores University, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Salford, The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
It is with great honour to be invited and witness the celebration of the successful partnership between USST & NCUK for the past 15 years. This unique partnership has enabled thousands of students to gain access to their dream UK universities via the NCUK International Foundation Year & International Year One along with their subject courses which are delivered by both SBC and NCUK Universities. At this special occasion of SBC’s 15th Anniversary celebration, and on behalf of NCUK staff worldwide, we offer our very best wishes to SBC. I would like to give my special thanks to President Ding, Professor Shan and Laura C. Bishop, Principal of SBC and all the members of SBC teaching faculties’ dedication and commitment to this unique partnership. We wish SBC great success for many years to come.
